Underage Tattoo and Piercing

Under 18 years old?

Vermont law regarding tattooing minors allows any age with parental consent. It has been our policy to only tattoo minors at least 16 years of age with the written consent of a custodial parent. The signing parent must be present to sign a release form in our shop. They do not need to be there for the application of the tattoo.

Piercing clients may be younger, though the specific piercing may determine what the piercer is comfortable with. Again, a parent must be present to sign the release form.

If you have any other questions, please contact us.

Do They Hurt??

Yes, tattoos and piercings both hurt, but everyone has a different reaction.  Your pain tolerance, patience level, and other factors play into how it feels to you.

Try to come in with no expectations for how it is going to feel.  Your best friend may have a completely different experience than you will.  By taking some steps before you get here, you can assure that you'll have an easier time getting a tattoo or piercing.

  • Don't be under the influence or hung-over; it will only make it more difficult on you, as well as on us.

When you first walk into a studio, after you look around and take notice of the cleanliness (or lack of), the nest thing that you should do is to look at the portfolio of the artists working there.
