Live Free or Die... Again.

For the second year in a row, Jesse's favorite client, Sonia, has made him very proud.

Last year, in a surprise move, Sonia went to the 'Live Free or Die' tattoo convention in Manchester, New Hampshire, and entered some of her work in the competitions there.  A tattoo that Jesse had done for her the previous year - that she refers to as her 'Courage Angel' - won the first prize for medium black-and-grey women's tattoos. sonia's tattoo - courage angel

This year, Sonia entered a different tattoo in that category, as well as her newly completed sleeve in the category for full sleeves.  Although it was a bit disappointing that the sleeve lost to a full leg sleeve, she didn't lose out all together.  2009 live free or die tattoo awardFor the second year in a row, Sonia took home the first place award for medium, women's, black-and-grey tattoos.2010 live free or die tattoo award

Alex the Apprentice

We're glad to have a great new apprentice in our midst, in the person of Mr. Alex Passapera.  Alex hails from the great state of New Jersey, by way of Brooklyn, New York.  BROOOOKLYYYYN!

Alex is a kickin' artist in his own right already, producing some great illustrations (which got him the job in the first place) in pen-and-ink, pencil, and crayon on napkin.  Alex may very well be the world master of the art of coloring-book coloring, and will be opening a show in our gallery here featuring "Barbie and Friends go Shopping".

We will be looking forward to many great works in the future from Mr. Passapera, and you may find his work in our Photo Gallery.

No Flash Required

I have been asked this question several times since we opened: "Where are all of the pictures on the walls to choose from"?  My answer is usually that I do custom work, and I do not need to use "flash" for my clients' tattoos.Flash on the walls and ceiling in RJ Rosini's Montana shop

Flash, for those of you who aren't familiar with the term, is the word we use for pre-drawn images on sheets - usually with the line drawings included - that a prospective client looks through and selects their tattoo from.  If you can't draw, or if you are too lazy to do so, flash is a life-saver.

Tattoos by Becca B.

Becca,

Our young protege has graduated to status as a fully licensed professional license, and begun to work on clients full time.  She's got skills and ambition, and we have high hopes for what she will create for her clients here.   Our apprenticeIf you are interested in supporting her growth as an artist (or if you are just a cheap bastard), please come in and give her a chance.

Becca started her apprenticeship over a year ago under the supervision of Julie, with the input and help of the artists at Body Art as well as myself.  She has a great deal of artistic talent, and the work she has done on skin shows that she will be putting those skills to good use for her future clients.

If you are looking for a good deal on tattoos, and willing to give Becca the chance to gain some experience, stop in or drop us a line at 881-0555 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
